Thanks to Google, Video Ads Will Be More Effective Than Ever in 2016

Last month, we talked about YouTube, the video decade, and why it was more important than ever for brands to be using video in their marketing campaigns.

Well, now that Google is expected to begin including video ads in its search results in 2016, businesses will see an even greater impact from their video efforts.

Remember, Google has always rewarded websites that featured video with higher rankings in search results. That’s because it knows people would rather watch a video than engage with any other form of content.

Consider:

It makes sense, then, that Google would start including advertisements with video in its search results. Especially since so many brands are creating excellent and informative content that is truly helpful to consumers.

Let’s say you want to promote your widget business, so you produce a video to show all the amazing things your widget can do. Through programmatic advertising, your ad would start to rack up view counts on YouTube and Google would reward those high views by making your video even more searchable. With the expected changes, if someone searches for ways to solve a problem, and your widget can help, Google will include your video ad in its search results.

Thanks to Google, your little video will go a long way to increase your brand’s awareness. The possible returns will far outweigh the initial investment in the costs of producing the video.
